In addition to its scientific goals, the IGI strives to enable the widespread use of next-generation genome engineering technologies by facilitating access to knowledge and reagents, and developing research collaborations with academic and industrial communities. Our Membership and Postdoctoral Fellowship Programs will encourage broad community involvement and facilitate collaboration.  The IGI is also developing an innovative Entrepreneurial Fellowship Program to enable creative scientists to explore how their ideas can be translated into real-world applications, and to rapidly pursue proof-of-concept research for new commercial endeavors.
